Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson believes striker Wayne Rooney has rediscovered his best form.
After the win over Swansea in May - his final home game - Ferguson said United had rejected Rooney's transfer request and Chelsea subsequently had two bids for the forward turned down.
But Ferguson, now a United director, is pleased with Rooney's recent displays.
"Wayne was fantastic [against Bayer Leverkusen]. I'm pleased to see that," he told MUTV.
"He's got his energy back, the determination, his purpose to attack. As a director, I'm delighted to see him back to what we always remember him."
