Laura Robson defeated in Tokyo

British number one Laura Robson is out of the tournament Toray Pan Pacific Open in Tokyo after losing her first-round match to Ayumi Morita 7-6 (7-4) 6-3.
In a close first set, 19-year-old Robson and her 23-year-old Japanese opponent broke serve twice apiece before Morita took it on a tie-break.
Robson, who reached the quarter-finals of the Gangzhou Open in China last week, is ranked 24 places higher than 86th ranked Morita, who will play Jelena Jankovic in round two.
